Bio: Don is currently Principal and For Profit Practice Leader of The Colton Group, an executive advisory and interim management firm providing actionable growth strategies for CEO’s and their board of directors. He is a seasoned executive with 30+ years experience in domestic and international management, strategic planning, and new business development. He has had experience in all facets of company management, including new business start-ups, global operations, sales and marketing, product development, information technology, human resource development, quality management, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and finance.

Having been president of an $800M global company, as well as multiple venture backed start-ups, Don has leveraged his business experience at The Colton Group to create growth strategies for companies in diverse markets such as medical informatics and devices, on-line marketing, digital imaging services, diagnostic equipment services, wireless security, and software products and services. Prior to The Colton Group, Don was CEO of Fullscope, a venture backed Saas company and reseller of Microsoft Dynamix. Before that, he was Group Vice President of a $700M Business and Technology Services group for MSXI, a $1.2B global company in business and technology services, contract staffing, and product engineering. Don was President of Geometric Results Incorporated (GRI), an $800M global technology based product and service company providing multi-business line outsourcing in the US and International markets. Before becoming President, Don was Vice President in diverse functional areas including domestic and international operations, information technology, and corporate sales and marketing.

As International Vice President, Don lived in Europe during which time he was also President of each of the local companies in the UK and Germany along with their subsidiaries in Spain, France, Italy, and Sweden. Additionally, Don was President of Knowledge Transfer Corporation, a marketing and packaging company serving the telecommunications market and Executive Vice President of Training Gallery, a technology based training diagnostic company serving the military and industrial sectors. Before these start-ups, Mr. Springer worked at Texas Instruments in the defense products division and the consumer products division.

He presents a long list of accomplishments that involve strategic development and operational execution from the turnaround and repositioning of failing businesses to the start-up and exponential expansion of new businesses as measured by significant revenue and profit improvements. Don has consistently increased shareholder value through organic as well as M&A growth. Don has served as a board of director for multiple technology and service companies in a variety of industries. He is presently a board member for two companies and a member of CEO Netweavers – Dallas Chapter, the Founder and Chair for the Netweaver New Business Development Group of CEO Netweavers, and is an evaluator and mentor for North Texas’ Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization.
